Snapshots of my world

Wainhouse Tower.

Wainhouse Tower stands at 253 feet tall and was originally commissioned as a chimney for a local dye works. However, it was never actually used as a working chimney...something I only discovered through blip!

There are 403 steps inside which take you up to the viewing gallery where you are treated to stunning views. The tower, traditionally, opens to the public on Bank Holidays but I think the pandemic had stopped that ..but maybe not any more.

It's the 14th February and on this, Valentine's Day, I think it's always worth reminding ourselves that self love isn't selfish. It's the hardest love to give, yet perhaps the most important. We deserve the same love we show to others, and I have to say I know I still struggle with both of the above statements. But, I cut myself a little bit of slack today by leaving school early to do a big shop to stock up my new home. Why? Because I should allow myself to thrive, not just survive.
