Brrrrrmmmmm-bum-bum-bum-bum

This old bird is 54 years old. My dad bought it on a summer holiday in 1959 because it took too long to row from the mooring to the jetty. It's been on various dinghies, an auxiliary on a sailing dinghy, been trolling for mackerel off Torquay, Tenby and Anglesey. Done the length and breadth of the North Norfolk Broads and for the last 18 years has been in the garage. Got it out today and cleaned off the dust, mounted it in the Workmate and to my surprise found there was still petrol in the sealed tank.
I wonder - petrol on, flood the carb, full choke, full throttle, wrap the rope round the flywheel and pull. Of course nothing.
Try once more - she fired and died.
And again - brrrrrrrrmmmmmm-bum-bum-bum!!!!!!!
As it says on the flywheel - The best outboard motor for the world.
Just keep loose clothing and fingers away from the spinning starter dogs.
