Mary's Shop

Some heavy showers this morning, but they soon cleared, and a mostly sunny day.  It's been calm all day, and also this evening.

Up early, and another day off.  I popped along Adele (Barclay) for a cuppa this morning, and a catchup.  I picked up friend Julie in the late morning, and we headed to Yell for the afternoon.  First stop was to see her mam and dad, Lorraine and Tommy.  We took all the dogs, and headed to the Gossabrough beach for a runabout.  A quick visit to the shop, and then caught the ferry back home.  I've been working in the shop this evening, and fairly quiet.  More walkies, and then feet up for the night.

A visit to Yell is never complete, without a visit to Mary's shop.  The shop is an Aladdin's cave of goodies, and you can find all sorts of things you never knew you needed.  There is a main grocery shop, and then various rooms break off, with DIY, gifts and cards, clothes, household goods, toys and much more.  If Mary's isn't on a tourist pamphlet, it sure needs to be.  Mary (Nicholson) serving Julie, Aywick Shop, Aywick, Yell.
