Waffles for breakfast

P normally makes pancakes for Sunday breakfast, but once in a while we have waffles instead, and they are more interesting to photograph. It's been a wild, windy and wet Sunday, so I'm glad I did take a couple of quick ones before we ate them, as I certainly wasn't inclined to go outside today. It's been a day for catching up with a few routine things - mending, emails, renewing my driving licence, and helping J with some emails and planning. We also watched an interesting programme about Frank Bowling, who is a black British artist now in his nineties, originally from Guyana, who continues to create large, abstract paintings full of colour and texture and is the subject of J's art talk session on Wednesday.
