Water of Leith

It has been raining all day after several hours of rain yesterday so we thought we'd take a look at the Water Of Leith to see how the levels were coping at Dean Village.

On occasion, when the weather is severe, the walkway (on which we are standing) can be flooded but though very muddy and bearing several artefacts such as tennis balls, an apple and several pieces of wood of various sizes, the height was well below the river bank. The noise and spray were quite impressive, all the same.
