Which way to go?

We drove to Arnside this afternoon. Despite the rain we enjoyed walking along the shore of the Kent Estuary to stretch our legs and get some fresh air. We passed this ‘Old Westmorland numbered fingerpost which is one of only two surviving out of the original six in Arnside. This one is Number 5. It was originally erected at the end of the nineteenth century but has now been restored.
