Oldest & youngest..

…of our beautiful grandchildren, and I think my favourite photo today.

We’ve had a very happy afternoon. Esmée loved her balloon which we gave just as they were leaving and it helped dry her sad tears. Sophia had given her her once loved Frozen toys and it was a joy to watch Esmée’s delight.

For us, it was an afternoon of gratefuls, to be together with both sons, our daughters-in- law and their families. To watch the grandchildren together, and Oliver meeting Théa for the first time and not being overly sure what to do. The way they looked at each other and the smile Théa gave him.

Our elder son has a birthday tomorrow. The years have flown by.

Never mind the over two hour journeys in long traffic jams both ways….
