David’s 80th

To London for the 80th birthday lunch of a friend who lives partly there and partly local to us down here.  They are confined to London at the moment as his wife had an accident and needed surgery and long period of convalescence.  It was a lovely lunch, sitting in a bright sitting room listening to old friends reminiscing.  We ate food from an excellent local Indian restaurant and N stuck candles on a cake along with some cherished plastic footballers representing Arsenal and we sang happy birthday and toasted absent friends.

Got back home in time for Woody and I to walk in the gathering gloom, he was a bit recalcitrant but I dragged him round.
