Learning day by day

Quiet Day

The day started well as I wasn't woken until about 07.15 by W. Carys didn't appear until 08.15 but then she revealed that she had been reading in her room from 06.45 so hadn't quite had the mega sleep I thought she had had.

Dropped W off at T's and C was given a bag of beautiful clothes and a pair of shoes and boots that will fit her in the future. Lucky girl. I was telling T about this morning and she asked what it was that C was reading. when I said the Worst Witch she disappeared upstairs and came back with her daughter C (who is 10). C gave Carys her box set of the Worst Witch and also a box set of Titchy Witch. Lucky Girl.

We headed into Hitchin and did some bits, picked up some free Percy Pigs, thanks to O2 and then headed to Starbucks to do some homework. I had a couple of free lattes (I have since had the shakes all day as I normally only drink decaf) and C had a kids hot chocolate and a baby chino. About two hours later, having only spent £1.85 we left having done lots of spellings and quite a bit of maths on the computer. Best thing is C thinks it is a treat and doesn't even register that she is working.

After lunch C did some more painting of her tea set after we realised there was an important bit of ribbon missing from the ballerina doll she is making. We tried on a lot of clothes in C's wardrobe and some new ones and got rid of stuff that no longer fits. I made banana loaf, did some washing and a large bit of back blipping from 2008. A very productive day.
