Juvenile Cormorant

Spotted standing on a log at the side of the White Cart. It's quite shaded on the far side so the light was fairly poor.  
Further along the river and just in front of Pollok House there was an adult cormorant hanging his wings out to dry. 
It always seems strange to me that a water loving bird would have wings that weren't waterproof.

Rather a wet morning but is was quite a bit warmer. With the wet conditions we were back to rather muddy paths in the park.
