Friday: The Team

I put on a good show of working this morning but didn’t really back it up with any substance.  

The team came over this afternoon.  It was lovely to see them all - two colleagues weren’t quite comfortable in coming but the rest of the gang was here.  For the first part of the afternoon it was lovely enough (and warm enough) to sit outside.  We got a lovely farewell gift, a card that I had to put to one side to read later (for fear of getting a bit teary) and many nice words were said.

We’d put it down as being from 2pm-6pm but as my last colleague left at midnight, I think that’s the sign of a good evening.  Sarah, who lives in Victoria, and flew over for this, is staying over.
