Catkins

Firstly, many thanks for the stars and hearts for yesterday's Hellebore, very surprised but nonetheless delighted.

JJ didn't want to walk this morning, so I had a wander through the wood (off-piste) but there wasn't much in the way of birdlife, just creaking trees in the brisk breeze.

Footballers were playing on the second field and a red kite was hovering overhead as best it could and seemingly enjoying the challenge with the wind.

I stopped for a while talking to one of our neighbours who was watching his son play and then we were joined by another neighbour walking her three dogs.  Poppy is very arthritic these days and tends to lag behind her offspring and the next generation down.  I think she'd be better off coming out with me to enjoy the loitering.

Lots of snowdrops in the woods and the catkins are coming on well, as is the Curling.
