Mum and the kid!

We drove to Lithgow this afternoon to visit Mauzee’s Mum and Dad and sister.  We love diverting off the highway and going via Brown’s Gap Road and through the Vale of Clwyyd.  You can often see photo opportunities along the way and today another one presented itself.  We did a quick U turn after seeing this beautiful little foal with its Mum.  They were very personable and along with another one of their mates came right over to the fence to say hello.   It started raining quite heavily when we arrived home late this afternoon and we were happy we had lit the fire before we left.  I just can’t get my head around the fact that we have been lighting fires regularly this summer.  It just hasn’t seemed like summer at all.
