Wet, wet, wet…..

Our garden is wet, wet, wet. This Heucherella leaf is sprinkled with raindrops.
It was misty and a little damp when Maisie and I walked early this morning. Predicted rain set in mid-morning and it has been non-stop all day. And very heavy at times. Friend Cathie and I drove to Mitre 10 just before lunchtime. We treated ourselves to fries at the cafe. I had coffee and Cathie made a sandwich with bread and butter and fries. I drove out this evening in very heavy rain to check the culvert at the Omaka ford. It’s still ok but the Taylor River’s coming up to flood levels in town. It’s always well-contained within the Floodway though.
