Last minute plans!
Luckily for Karen and I, Glenys was able to put us up last night, and today after a leisurely morning drinking coffee and chatting, the 3 of us went to Kings Cross to Coal Drops Yard. An area near Kings Cross which is where the coal used to be offloaded from the canal boats. It has been preserved and developed into a trendy shopping/eating area. We had a sandwich and managed to book matinee tickets for Dirty Dancing which meant Karen was able to get her train home just afterwards. We sort of made the day up as we went along, but it all worked out.
The show was brill and such a nice change. When we are more organised in the future we will build it into a proper reunion few days, but good that we did it today, because we now know we can!
We saw Karen on to the tube who then went on to Euston and home. Glenys and I got a couple of buses back to Wandsworth where we have chatted over tea and toast for a couple of hours.
Heading to Victoria in the morning for my arduous journey home! It's been a nice couple of days, especially as it was so last minute. Must do it again soon.
