The school run
Zebedee's 730 today!
Kids of all ages walk, cycle and scooter unaccompanied or in groups to and from school and elsewhere, and I mean as young as 4, a refreshing sight for me living somewhere where everyone is so terrified of strangers! The girls all have very neat hair tied up with ribbons, they look really great.
We got up at 4.45 and Made (pronounce Madday) our driver took us to Lovina where we met Komang Gobang who I found on a google revue, he took us out on his outrigger canoe on which we sat one behind the other, Gulli in front, to look for dolphins and we saw loads!!!! One even jumped right in front of the boys and a family swam along side our boat for a few minutes as well, magical and such beautiful scenery! I swam with wild dolphins in Florida 20 years ago but Max and the boys have never seen them, they loved it!
Komang had a motorbike and we all had rides on it ;-)
Then we drove on and had a wonderful lunch overlooking the rice paddies and the volcanoes which were very clearly visible today.
Then we got stuck in a dreadful traffic jam for a couple of hours, so hot and frustrating, we arrived about 3 to beautiful Karma Kandara, jumped in our pool, had drinks in the outside jacuzzi and ordered room service, bliss!
Then I had a very long bath and read my book, then monkeys stole a can of tango from the garden, the boys were very excited about that as you can imagine, there are loads of them here, I saw about 30 on my walk down to the beach with the boys, a quick walk on the beach at sunset and a drink at the restaurant overlooking the ocean and we are back at the villa, going to watch The Mexican, this place is wonderful, we have a lot of space and unlike the other places we have stayed so far we have our own private pool and jacuzzi and a massive living room, and all mod cons, it's heaven!
