Scoundrel

Well, I was getting some good photos of these Starking apples from the Beira Alta region of Portugal, but Aduro was having none of it. Trying to tell her about sustainable hunting - we're currently getting mice, shrews, lizards, and even a bird (sob), usually more than one a day, and live in the house, and she sometimes loses the mice and shrews... not ideal.

The apples are delicious - crunchy with a gorgeous smell, but still can't think why anyone would think Eve's fruit was an apple - surely a manga rosa or a ripe Spanish peach would have been more tempting?

Gratefuls:
- a friend ringing me to ask if I'd forgotten a fairly important meeting (I had), but got there just in time (on Zoom)
- Mike finishing the new garden fence, and clotheslines
- Ermelinda and Cecílio coming for tea in a bit, for a good chat, it's been a while
