Rabbit Mountain

It is interesting to be here in winter. A lot of birds are away on migration. Raptors still around, and prairie dogs. It is hard work for water birds when all the lakes are frozen. Canada geese are here in numbers of course. They are amazingly versatile.

I don’t mind the dry cold here. However, it takes a while for the snow to melt and it can get very slippery where it has been packed down.
