Chatelherault

An unexpectedly glorious day walking around Chatelherault and Strathclyde country parks. Two fluent Gaelic speakers (from Lewis) and one Irish speaker. Plans to organise a Celtic walk in progress. Interesting journey home after our train was cancelled and made it just in time to join a zoom meeting while surreptitiously eating shepherds pie. Looks like the Glasgow group might be a pilot for “dog walker walks”. Not sure if Islay is up to this so I may need to borrow another,  less eccentric, dog. Although on reflection it might be wise for the leader to be a non dog walker.
The blip is the River Avon flowing fast under the Green Bridge. There’s a dipper close to the river bank which my phone camera couldn’t pick up, some good shots to be had with the right camera.
Great weather, after a miserable start, great conversation and a chance to catch up with folk I hadn’t seen for a while, and some wonderful new contacts.
