Female tufted duck

After seeing Daine2104's photo of a kingfisher yesterday, we went to Pennington Flash with high hopes. Having sat in the hide for over an hour getting really cold, I started to pack up and then saw the kingfisher flying along the surface of the water and into the trees on the bank. I waited about another half an hour but didn't see it again!
