Primeval
This rocky panorama is at Pambula Beach, on the far south coast of NSW. In my wild erratic fancy, visions come to me of a primeval sea monster turned to stone - something like a massive form of sea lion.
We left Canberra this morning, heading home to Lennox Head via the south coast. Which is a bit like heading to the North Pole via the South Pole. There is a kind of logic to this - we are here to visit old friends we’ve not seen for a while.
The words above in my wild erratic fancy are taken from AB (Banjo) Patterson’s poem Clancy of the Overflow.
