Redundant
Visiting Hereford Cathedral again today. Explored the cloister this time, and came around a corner to find this mighty stack of redundant corbels and capitals. Amazing carving, some of it nearly a thousand years old. Good that they are safely stored here, out of the weather, but sad that they are no longer in situ where they were meant to be. This is actually a colour photograph, although it looks like mono because of the colour of the stone and the soft north light.
