Birds flying high

and not at the feeder.   I was out in the yard  putting bird seed on the feeder and I happened to feel the "shadow" of a bird flying over.  I looked up and spotted not one but two hawks.  I think they are redtailed hawks.   I ran into the house and luckily my 300mm was on the camera.  So I stood in the yard with that heavy lens shooting straight up.  I took many photos but this was my favorite (and the sharpest!).   I love how the light rims the feathers.

A good warm day for being outside.   I actually hand washed my car in the sunshine.   Got all the neglected housework and laundry done also.   
A much better day than yesterday.
