Hidden Beauty

The Hellebore - it hangs it's head as if nervous of offending. Does it doubt it's beauty? Or is it worried that it's stunning colour and simple perfection might outshine the others still struggling against the winter cold?

I gently lifted the bloom to reveal the sumptuous heart of this little treasure. And the best bit is that there are so many more to come.
