Covid - Keep Out!

I drove Shona out to Siobhan’s this morning for book group. She made this mask for her front door she joked it’s to keep Covid out.

The five of us discussed her choice “Mudlarking” which everyone but Shona enjoyed. We all found we couldn’t read lots of it at once as it was so full of factual information. However it was very interesting to learn about the artefacts found in the Thames mud.

Read no further as a rant is coming up. I am furious about the waste of money in our medical system. Our commissioning group buys into an organisation called MSK which specialises in physio. Today I finally had my phone appointment with one of their employees, after having spent half an hour a few days ago completing an on-line form. This woman started asking the questions I’d already answered on-line but said she had to. Everything she asked was already on my records which she confirmed she had access to. (I saw a nurse in our practice in December and she diagnosed a rotator cuff injury. There was a physio on the premises with a free slot so I saw him that day. He examined me and tested the movement I had and agreed with the diagnosis but referred me for X-ray to be sure it was not severe osteoarthritis. The MSK woman agreed she had this info. As I did not have enough movement to do the exercises without severe pain I was referred for a steroid injection. The GP said if that hadn’t helped in 2 weeks the next step was MSK who might give me ultrasound treatment. ). When I enquired about this MSK said that was not a treatment they were familiar with and she said she’d send me exercises. Now I have an on-line app with the same exercises I had 2 months ago. I’m so cross that NHS is paying for this round the houses system.
