A happy surprise

Once my old peach tree came down, the Home Owners Association was quick to okay a maple tree as a replacement. And much to my surprise the nursery was ready to plant it today! I asked if we should wait until spring weather and they said now is the perfect time because the root ball is frozen. When spring comes it will thaw out and grow where it is planted.
I’m excited to see if the birds start sitting in it while they are waiting their turn for the feeder. Stay tuned!
