Lovely blanket of cyclamen outside the Cathedral.

Cyclamen, a genus of 23 species of perennial flowering plants native to Europe and further east to Iran, with one species in Somalia! They grow from tubers and are valued for their flowers with upswept petals and patterned leaves.

“...a cyclamen that looks like a flight of butterflies, frozen for a single, exquisite moment in the white heart of Time...”
Beverley Nichols

And they offer a lovely display in deepest February on a chilly hilltop.
