Kitchen counter

Whenever I looked at this corner, joy filled my heart. Joy that I could see it. Joy about the light. Joy about these special flowers that nobody sells in town - we brought them from Eugene yesterday.

The eyes have to heal for two more weeks before I can get the new glasses. As I have strong double vision, can see relatively well ( now) in the distance but very poorly in the closer range, I definitely need more help before I can comfortably read, cook, eat and sit at the computer. It is amazing what doctors can do these days. But it makes you realize that no spare part is as good as the parts we got at birth.
