DAY 12 - MOVING ON
Our visitors left about 11 #after a tasty smoked salmon and scrambled egg breakfast.
We packed up and left the cottage a day earlier than planned as it had served its purpose of a meeting place with my sister and The Revs old boss!!
#we headed towards Cross Fell and highest point in the Penines and in search of Garrigill Waterfall…”no” says a local…”it’s Ashgill waterfall up the road..still couldn’t find it but had wasted about 20 mins!!
About 10 miles on we found High Force…the highest waterfall in England at 21 metres.
It was a great opportunity for a Daisy walk and a photo session for The Rev. We stopped for a cuppa by a log fire in the High Force Hotel. We were now late for our hotel but didn’t regret this delay.
Back to civilisation on the motorway…strange after our isolation cottage :)))
#This is home for a night…Owston Hotel.
#Clean and comfortable room…lovely. We had a fabulous meal in the bar this evening…really tasty curry. Daisy is happily snoring and content too.
