Applique

I've been having some fun over the last couple of days creating this brightly coloured lorikeet.  I used a free pattern downloaded from the internet, an old sheet as the background, and some scraps of material.  They suggest either framing or making into a cushion - I instead opted to put some wadding behind it to give it "a bit of substance" and created a simple wall hanging, using some multi-coloured ribbon that I found in my stash - can't remember where that came from.

W says it should hang in the hall of our new house - it is very welcoming.

We spent a couple of hours washing some pots this morning, and then I had a trip to the hairdresser.  

The wheels of the conveyancing are grinding very slow.  We've received an email from our lawyer in Ireland with loads of attachments that are difficult for us to understand - we will have a chat to her tomorrow morning to ensure we are happy with everything.  And as for our buyer's conveyancers - they want information about every little thing - we are completely unable to answer some of their questions.  They appear to be getting their knickers in a knot about the wood burner which was present when we moved in.
