‘A Tiny Book’

This is a miniature copy of the Church of England ’Book of Common Prayer’. Standing no more than five and a half centimetres high, its 700 odd pages of ultra thin paper, are squeezed into book that’s no more than a centimetre or so thick. (See extras)

A family heirloom on my mother’s side, it includes a ‘Table of Moveable Feasts’ for 1898 to 1921, so it must date from the very end of the 19th Century. 

Needless to say, the type is extremely small - I have absolutely no idea what ‘point’ it is. Suffice to say, it’s not very easy to read!
