Portraiture

I am on a photography course for 3 days. We studied portrature today. All the pictures I took today were taken on my 'big' camera. So...to stay true to theme here is one of me.

I'm on this course so I can try to learn how to use my big camera to its ful potential. I'm finding it quite tough but I am learning. It does not come naturally. All these numbers and settings are so confusing. Patience is needed. I feel I owe it to my camera though.
