Tiny common garden skink

This skink is truly tiny at 3-4cm long. It's a lot smaller than the ones I usually see in the garden so it's probably a young one.

The common garden skink is endemic to Australia and I'm pleased to see its conservation status is 'least concern'. It's a carnivore and feeds on a wide range of insects and other invertebrates.

This one is very well camouflaged in the wood pile.

Thanks for hosting cathy1947. Stay safe and well.
