Red-shouldered Hawk

I didn't have any exercise planned for today, so when my husband said he was going to run on the C&O Canal path, I saw it as an opportunity to get some steps in, with my camera of course.  He ran 5 miles, and I walked probably 1/4 mile at the most.  This gorgeous bird was fishing from a tree, and I stayed to watch. The outing didn't improve my physical health, but it sure provided a much needed mental break.
