Journies at home

Le monde à l'envers

Kelyan had just asked me if I'd ever held a fish heart in my hand and Chanone was laying into Lola.  I'd initially gone to the window to bang my head against it but my eye was caught by the overturned wheelbarrow on the roof below and it struck me that it looked like a woman in childbirth.
Omicron has made this term taxing and patience is running thin.
Class sizes stay low which I initially thought was a good thing, but lessons have to be repeated when the absent ones from last week trickle back and others go down.
More teachers are off than on and the school nurse has fled the camp.
And here I am, hanging on in there, hallucinating at windows.
