Angus and I get the trailer/caravan hitched up and backed out onto the main road. I drive, very slowly, back to Blyth Bridge, buffeted by the wind and overtaken by HGVs.

Getting it into Mike’s field is another matter. The Jimny 4WD has been unused for so long that it won’t engage. In the end, we hitch it onto Mike’s pickup and he guns out into position.

We drop the Jimny at John’s garage and head to Kinghorn. A long day.
