Weeds
I know that dandelions are weeds, but I still like the bright yellow and find fields filled with them visually compelling. It almost makes you forgot that people hate these things and are always trying to kill them. I am happy to report that this not my lawn. This field is right next to where this was shot.
In this blip, I wanted to isolate the dandelion in the foreground and still show the flowers in the distance. I composed the shot to ensure that the dandelion in the foreground could be sharp while those in the background would be blurred and as part of those selected a large aperture.
I like the contrast of the sharply focused foreground dandelion and the soft ones in the background. I also like the interesting curve of the blade of grass.
Also I want to thank everyone for their comment on yesterday's George blip. It seems that everyone enjoyed it as much as I did and so look for more of these in the future.
No photoshop, minor saturation and contrast tweaks
Constructive criticism always welcome
