Low tech
Yesterday I had an entire day with my phone switched off (hence backblipping). This really shouldn’t be a revolutionary thing but it’s quite scary trying to think back to the last time I didn’t look at my phone at least once in the day. A decade, maybe?
The biggest gain of the day was just doing normal things but without distraction. Reading a book without stopping to read a message or look up a reference that takes you down an hour long rabbit hole. Watching a movie without casually scrolling Instagram at the same time. Playing games and having conversations with your mind in one place not twenty.
I quite enjoyed it. And the world didn’t implode while I was gone.
