Geese and goslings galore
"I'm tired of hunting for bugs, Ma, I wanna go for a swim."
"You listen to me, young man. There will be no swimming until I say so."
"But Ma, I don't wanna wait!"
The goslings got to swim when their parents took them in the water...and not one minute sooner. Canada geese must be very protective parents. There were so many geese and goslings milling around I wondered how they keep their families separated. Or maybe it doesn't matter to the geese?
Today was a beautiful day, and Bob and I went to the Arboretum to buy some new rhododendrons for his garden...to replace the ones munched to oblivion by the deer over the winter. After making the purchase, we wandered over to Corning Lake to look for ducklings and goslings. We didn't find any ducks, but these goslings certainly made up for it. They were great fun to watch.
