Just Another Magic Monday
Strava Day 252/ 75Hard Off Phase Day 9.
Done with the gallon, reading, indoor yoga and outdoor exercise (mindful walk). Unintentional progress photo was taken because of Strava's prompt of "Add Photo" in every activity/workout. Had a decent shot at 5:55 and really liked my "form" at 5:56 however featuring this capture I took while I was looking for clementines in our local market. Noticed this little kid playing with the Salakot (what we call this dome-shaped headgear here). Followed him for a few minutes. Initially, thought he was the son of the Puto vendor as he was following him. Apparently, he was just looking forward to having colored Puto (steamed rice cake) for breakfast.

Title is in reference to the lyrics of "Manic Monday," a song by The Bangles (Did not know the band's name until today but am familiar with the song, an indicator of my age/generation.) Speaking of generations, last week, B, T and I laughed about how we belong to different social media and even app groups. B spends more time on Facebook, T has 500+ downloads on YouTube while I find comfort and joy in creating content for Instagram.

Grateful to have been cleared by my Doctor to continue with cognitive behavioural therapy (if I am patient and consistent, I can be medication free for life). Grateful for calm, quiet mornings. Grateful for family.

Reviewing words from Mark Manson's Everything is Fucked:
*Ultimately, the most meaningful freedom in your life comes from your commitments, the things in life for which you have chosen to sacrifice.
*Paradox of Choice: The more options we're given, the less satisfied we are with whatever option we go with.
*Real freedom is the conscious decision to live with less.
*Don't hope for better. Just be better. Be more compassionate, more resilient, more humble, more disciplined.

Here's to you finding something worth your while today.
Gratitude and light.
