The snowdrops in Dalkeith are not fully out yet but should be in the next few days so here is a distant side view of Dalkeith House. The remains of Dalkeith Castle lie within the house which was rebuilt in 1702 and over the centuries has been visited by several kings and queens. Since the Buccleuch family left in 1914 it has been used as a military base, research centre and overseas centre for Wisconsin University. Now it is proposed that a new museum and library are created and will be an added attraction for those who enjoy the Country Park
