Wild seas

Last day on the IOW so after breakfast, with the weather looking uncertain, we visited a photography exhibition in the restored house of Julia Margaret Cameron. She pretty well invented portrait photography and many of her photos on display were instantly recognisable. There was also a room with great photos of the first IOW music festival to which 500,000 people turned up! Afterwards we walked down to Freshwater Bay and spent a long time experiencing the power of the waves crashing on the sea wall and beach. Took some interesting photos of which this is one. Then we headed back to the mainland and the straightforward drive home. A pleasant weekend break.
