Over the Alps

All the planning and preparation worked well and we arrive in Pedraces without a hitch. Our papers were only scrutinised once on entry to Austria where we showed our NHS covid pass. The passenger locator form was not viewed at all nor was the PCR certificate. I suppose it’s comforting to know everyone here has had to go through the same process as us.

We met up with friends Adam and Jane at Innsbruck for the two hour transfer to Pedraces. Great to se them again. We planned the first 4 days of our itinerary, working out routes, which lifts we would use and how many points we needed.

A couple of beers helped the afternoon and evening on, followed by a good evening meal and plenty of wine.

Todays blip is over the Alps as we approached Innsbruck. The extra is a classic view of the sunset on the Kreuzkofel from our balcony, which is part of the Fanes, Senes, Braies National Park.

Not much fresh snow around, although we are forecasts some for tomorrow afternoon
