Thought it fitting for today

I think its a silver jubilee mug which belonged to my mum. I did have a coronation one but its wrapped up in a box in the top of the wardrobe

Im not a royalist but shes not done bad to keep going has she.

This day 70 years ago I sat my 11plus exams
I came home for lunch only to be met with the news the king had died. Needless to say everyone was upset in the afternoon, we were royalists in those days, so little wonder i didn't pass to go to high school. But I never wanted to anyway.
We had a coronation to look forward to


Its been a wild and windy day, cold with intermittant sunshine and sleety showers so after a not too long dog walk with molly, we left Paula and Tanzy to do a longer one and went back to the car, I vacuumed and dusted downstairs then spent the afternoon watching Rugby.
