The White Isle...
...one of the reasons Ibiza is known as the White Isle is because of all the white almond blossom - the island is currently covered in it, absolutely beautiful!
A quiet day after a rough night with an under-the-weather Nate. Mid afternoon I went to go meet a guy who had a rucksack to give to Salomé on the streets. Nice to meet him and brilliant to spend an hour or so with Salomé who was delighted by the bag. So so good to catch up on what's been happening in her life since we last had regular time together, lots of long hugs too. Then randomly a guy came up (who I actually met the other day in another part of town), we got talking and turned out he wanted a Bible, so I gave him one of the ones I carry with me. What made me laugh was that his name is Lazarus, haha! No doubt we'll see each other again.
The rest of the day has been spent reading the rest of The Magician's Nephew to Asha, I'd forgotten how brilliant it is. Especially that part where Aslan sings forth all of Narnia. It was interesting how Asha was drawing out parallels with the Bible, even where Aslan calls his select few animals, Asha was saying, ooh it's like Jesus calling out his disciples. Anyway we're now on to The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Hoping for a more peaceful night tonight - we're all feeling a bit grotty - actually strike that, Danny isn't!
Strange bit of the day;
Having a sudden pain in my little finger and then immediately a hard dark bruise in the middle section! So so odd...
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Those chance meetings, like with Lazarus today.
2) The man's kindness in giving away the backpack - he saw a post I'd put in one of the Ibiza groups.
3) Asha's excitement as she pieced together bits and bobs that now make sense of things in the later Narnia books...like why the wardrobe is magical and who the professor really is... Lovely to see her imagination captured so fully!
