Back home

She’s been away on tour recently but now she is back where she belongs, at the Barber Institute at Birmingham University. We went to say hello this morning and were pleased to be reunited.
The ‘Last of England’ by Ford Madox Brown was next to her on the wall but we weren’t allowed to take photographs of that. It’s on loan from Birmingham Art Gallery while they are closed. At the Barber the lighting is better and the painting is hung much lower so we could see details we’d never seen before.
