Seventy years on the throne.

Seventy years ago this morning Queen Elizabeth II received the sad news that her father had died and she was Queen of England.
 
 
We bought a new flag to mark the occasion, an expensive sewn one - I hope the wind doesn’t get the better of it.  The photo is upright, not the flagpole . . .
 
 
At extra is ‘Sunday breakfast for one with visiting rights’.
 
(and I managed this without remarks like “it must have been the prunes” . . . )
