The Old Grammar School is Market Harborough's most iconic building. Constructed in 1614 it is raised on stout timber posts, originally designed to provide shelter in bad weather and to allow the town's butter market to be held under cover. Here it is, reflected in the windows of nearby St Dionysius Church, this evening, as it has been for over 400 years - the church was completed in 1320, almost 300 years before the Grammar School.
