Hampton Manor

Hampton Manor is now a luxury hotel with a 5* restuarant.

It's seen many changes in its history it was built by Fredrick Peel (son of Robert Peel, then prime minister and founder of the modern day police force).
It's a grade 2 listed building and it became a home for adults with learning difficulties, it closed in 2007, and was put up for sale... In fact Ozzy and Sharon Ozbourne looked at buying it but obviously it was to close to superstar Roo.

My fondness dates back to when I left school and got a job working on the farm that was adjoining the manor, we had donkeys and rabbits and my job was to look after them and take the young adults out with the donkeys and show them how to look after animals.

It's a lovely walk round the property and bought back some nice times.
