Flying High

With a hoard of starlings smothering the suet and seed feeders this lone carolina wren smartly stayed clear and focused her attention on this bagel covered in a peanut butter & seed mix made by yours truly. We have a pair of these cuties but don’t see them daily. After yesterday’s snow and continued cold she was likely in need of nourishment • After breakfast MrsP and I got to shoveling out walks, patios and pathways. It was bitterly cold and despite being dressed appropriately neither of us felt warm. When our fingers got numb we escaped to the car to enjoy the heat that was blasting to loosen up the ice covering the windshield. Oh, the joys of winter :) • Newt and I are currently cuddled under a blanket watching olympic ski jumping, followed by short-track skating. Such amazing athletes! • Enjoy your weekend!
